Our Beliefs at La Mesa Church
We believe in a Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of the universe, and His love and grace reach us at all times.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully divine and human, whose sacrifice on the cross offers us salvation and eternal life. His resurrection assures our hope and faith.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God with us, guiding, comforting, and empowering us to live in obedience and love.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by works but is the response to God's unmerited love.
The Bible
We trust the Bible as the inspired Word of God, our reliable guide for life and faith.
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, called to make disciples, worship God, and support believers. We see ourselves as a large family of real people, living faith together, sharing our joys and challenges, and finding hope in communion with God and each other.
Sacraments
We practice baptism and Holy Communion as sacraments. Baptism is a symbol of new life and union with Christ, available to all ages. Holy Communion commemorates Jesus' sacrifice and celebrates the unity of believers.
The Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God is both a present reality and a future hope. We participate in its realization through reconciliation, justice, and love in action.
Free Will
God has given us free will to choose to follow Him. Although we may stray, His grace always calls us back.
Without
Sin is the barrier that separates us from God. It is when we choose to put our desires and wills above God and others. This causes ruptures in our relationships and distances us from the full life God wants for us. But through God's grace, we can find forgiveness, be healed, and live transformed in His love and truth.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
About La Mesa Church
La Mesa Church is a new, vibrant, and welcoming community committed to bringing God's love, grace, and formation to all. We are an extension of White's Chapel Methodist Church, sharing its mission to positively impact our communities through faith, service, and teaching.
We believe in the importance of authentic connection and spiritual growth, offering a space where everyone is welcome to explore their faith and find their purpose in Christ. Our slogan “Everything in One Place” reflects our commitment to being a comprehensive center for worship, learning, and community service.
Additionally, we have social and educational programs designed to help our community, providing support groups and resources to those in need. Among our community services, we highlight our dental clinic, which provides care to those who require it. We also have connection groups distributed throughout the city of Dallas-Fort Worth, facilitating interaction and support among our members.
We are a community of real people making a real difference. Whether through volunteer activities or our focus on spiritual formation, we are dedicated to making a tangible difference in people's lives.
